We understand just how fragile your lips are.
With their delicate structure, constant exposure
to potentially damaging conditions and their
overall vulnerability, lips really benefit from
year-round protection and care.

What should I use to protect my lips from the sun?

Lips rarely tan, but they can burn easily. They need to be protected from the sun all year round as ultraviolet rays are always present.

To protect your lips from the sun, you should use a specialist lip balm that contains sunscreens. It is sensible to use a lip balm with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 15 when you are spending a long time outdoors during the summer and winter.

It is important to apply SPF lip balm at least half-an-hour before going in the sun and re-apply frequently during exposure. Also, when venturing near the sea or pool, make sure the sunscreen is water resistant.

ChapStick recommends that you use ChapStick Sun Protection 35 lip balm to ensure that your lips are protected from the sun’s harmful rays.
